Rail Baltica presents project status and benefits to European partners

RB Rail AS, the joint venture of Rail Baltica, has begun the implementation of a Planning, Scheduling and Risk reporting software to ensure efficient management of all project activities and resources. The software will not only improve the existing project control practices but also serve as a measure to speed up the implementation of the project.

A comprehensive risk management system will provide a platform to accurately define and monitor the schedule and budget during the entire life-cycle of Rail Baltica project. In addition, it will allow to anticipate and proactively manage potential issues, changes and risks associated with the implementation of the project across all countries. The implementation of a comprehensive risk management system was highlighted by the audit institutions in the Baltic States in their joint audit recommendations for Rail Baltica.

Mark Loader, management board member of RB Rail AS says: “As we move from the development phase to the construction phase of the project, it is the right time to transition our existing control systems to a proven comprehensive software system to support our project management activities and ensure the successful delivery of this complex project. “

The Planning, Scheduling and Risk reporting software driven by Oracle Primavera P6 and Oracle Primavera Cloud solutions was procured in a competitive international tender. Primavera P6 is widely used in construction industry and provides world class solutions for project planning, control and risk management. It is supplied and maintained by the Oracle Primavera P6 Gold Partner – PRM Yazilim Danismanlik Tic. Ltd. Sti – which will ensure the maintenance, lead employee training as well as provide necessary support over the entire contracting period. The system will be used by all Rail Baltica Implementing Bodies.
